The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 其他评论里也指出了，这是一部很简单，甚至很俗套的电影，但是足够立体的人物和表演，外加精湛的机器人特效让整部片子显得十分有心，在俗套之余仍能打动许多人，讲好那个看似简单的故事。

童话故事了，不需要和其他人类拼命的废土科幻能有什么意思。但公路旅行永远浪漫的，世界末日也要压着双黄线一路向西，再忙也记得给自己搞件大衣。
故事其实很精要，就是男主在孤独的末日造了一个机器人，然后带着它和一条雪瑞纳建立信任的故事。这个机器是电影里人造的最厉害的了吧？能立即模仿，还能共情。居然有将近两个小时，感官上是个小短片。

科幻片，其实是另一版本的《荒岛余生》。故事密度不足，独角戏，只靠汉克斯演技来支撑。机器人的设置不错，简陋、笨拙，却又在努力模仿学习。对于它来说，人充满了矛盾，让它备感困惑。而它最需要理解的，则是信任一词。
开局一条狗，世界任我走！

人类被紫外线和自己搞死了，机器人继承了养狗的职责。很寓言式的故事，尽管充满科技逻辑的BUG。
