The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Un film emportant, empalent, éblouissant de la mise en scène tout en ayant une voix musicale, remarquable. L’adaptation est à la fois moderne et historique. Une densité narrative est également incroyable. Bref, un film ambitieux, luxueux, poignant.

surprisingly我挺惊喜的，可能因为预期比较低并且没看过原著，就像我在没看过The Great Gatsby的时候觉得改编的电影版很好一样
名著改编保障了剧情。在这种时候看到这样的电影，不得不感慨前人的敏锐与深刻。放下幻想，认真生活。找到自己内在力量。

没有看过原著，有点羞愧。但这部电影并没有辜负巴尔扎克，成功勾起了我对于纯文学的再度热爱。声色犬马的巴黎幻影下，人物灵魂被层层剥离，最后见好就收，留给观众足够的空间去品尝这苦涩的人生余味。
典型的一个男人的“成长故事”；关于媒体 press；关于初心 理想 名利与欲望；浮华的表象 一碰即碎的泡沫。不是我喜欢的type 但有时间可以去看看原著/ 07.09.22@film forum

比预想好太多！！剧情的戏剧和细节的呼应、人物立体的塑造，加上反复的象征隐喻，把disenchantment的主题放在了几世纪前巴黎的浮华大背景，讲述了一个人不断寻求改变或被迫改变但逃不过某种执念的宿命。
还是比较精彩的故事，像一本书不像电影，旁白很多，但对于一个一心想跻身上流社会的人来说，巴黎是残酷的，新闻的真谛片中也有涉及，保皇党和自由派的斗争，人性的黑暗都在此中一览无余。有空要把巴尔扎克的原著看一遍
这个不是爱情片。让我想起《俊友》那个话外音有点无聊了。男主演的好。懵懂无知到初涉世事，然后是出人头地到纸醉金迷，到幻灭迷失，最后方能大彻大悟！
