The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一贯的商业爽片，只是男主开锁的那几场都有点普通了
活死人军团前传之开锁匠的前世。德式喜剧总是有点硬。小马哥越长越猥琐，演得也有点用力过度。
开头和结尾的动作戏不错，中间大段的文戏，略显无聊，整体勉强可看。
这不比《活死人军团》得劲很多了。老套归老套，但是在正传的衬托下，拉胯之处也显得完整清晰了，这叫扎导情何以堪。

烂片的前传依然是烂片…开锁纯靠拧+手机公放音乐，开之前还一大堆废话+调情，仿佛在春游而不是在犯罪。各种人物描写浅薄又差劲（男主角已成为本年度我最厌恶电影角色），故事弱智又冗长（感情戏尴尬得不忍直视，冒着生命危险就是为了实现理想，然后顺便意思意思一下偷两小袋钱？？），情节靠编剧不经大脑随便瞎编，男女主这么乱来，按正常逻辑来说基本活不过电影开头五分钟，不过居然还有一群更智障的国际刑警来比烂…我只想给编剧寄刀片！
电影情节支离破碎，人物描写一塌糊涂。。。一星给女主，一星给男主富有特点的德式英语。
比活死人军团完成度高一些，扎导没有过分炫技，除了些动作场面有他的风格外，全片还算克制。男女主，感情线莫名其妙，也不来电，没啥火花。哦，看完cast发现，扎导是制片，不是导演，怪不得这么克制。
番外比正传好看，一身肌肉的男主演手无缚鸡之力的nerd有点出戏
原来是活死人军团的前传啊 难道每个人都有份拍一个？
作为前传，或者说衍生剧，可以的。而且是从里面不算最core卡司的着手。那么应该还会多两部别的卡司的衍生前传电影吧？
打戏方面挺干脆的，没什么拖沓，不至于无聊。
你们前期把大师吹的呜里哇啦的……等开人家的保险柜时却“易如反掌观纹“一般？？？我这两星纯给致敬尼古拉斯.凯奇的《极速60秒》和《空中监狱》。
没看出什么意思来，杀人也太随意了，可能年龄大了欣赏不了这种披着杀手外衣的青春片了
硬要往丧尸片上靠，这种蹭热度的感觉就没什么诚意。四个保险箱倒是一开始介绍的神乎其神，后面轻松被破。我很认可一个观点，一部优秀的作品不是靠开头旁边介绍设定的，而是靠细节，比如沙丘。 简单的爽片而已
还挺有趣的，蓝冷风色调挺有质感的，可惜的就是开锁的难度可以再做得紧张一些 难度大一些，还是有点套路化的想当然了，但不错的是通过这部衍生电影，扎导离开DCEU再就业的《丧尸宇宙》算是初步立起来了。
爽片定位，但除了男主角以外的角色塑造都太拉垮了，全部脸谱化，年轻版的狼叔更是惨中之惨。所有重头戏；偷盗过程都拍得太随意小儿科，简单得不能再简单…
