The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 开头与结尾的BGM就昭示着这是部庭审爽片XD结尾被感动到了，大概是“自己没有的权利只能通过围观来过瘾”心理吧（“我从未想过我会因自己的思想获罪”，感觉此类题材的庭审佳作都以此做母题（所以我们拍不出来，嗯……））
很精彩的法庭戏，剪辑十分紧凑，审判时刻的“简短”陈词，燃点和泪点并存，激动人心。科恩这个激进嬉皮士角色很是抢眼。
物质基础和上层建筑缺一不可，他们没有物质基础，上层建筑也没整明白。无论是从政，还是culture revolution都没办法带来真正的改变。
真实事件改编，十周年的时候当着全村人表演个专场也太感人了吧，美式主旋律的正确用法。演员们一人分饰乘客和岛民，很考验基本功和调度了。
他相信“这个国家的民主制度是极好的”，却不幸有了一些坏人当权把控，但“每隔四年就会有一次推翻重来的机会”，所以对照如今，恐怕他说的机会已经到了，那就让我们拭目以待一切会不会在BD手中变好呢？
艾伦·索金千呼万唤始出来的历史律政片，再现1968年反越战运动后的那场被预先定罪和操控的审判。拍得十分工整，庭审论辩与过往闪回交叉叙事，台词还是一如既往地凌厉铿锵，可惜视听语言上还是较为呆板，群像有所侧重，部分人物并未塑造得有血有肉，但几位老戏骨的表演很有说服力（科恩、里朗斯、迈克尔·基顿，以及饰演法官的弗兰克·兰格拉）。放在这个时间推出，颇有借古讽今的用意，希望能在关键时刻力挽狂澜吧。（8.0/10）
